A Little Bit About Us!
 
Chris & Assunta Corpora have a passion for baking and cooking - a tradition in their large Italian families. Chris is 50% second-generation Sicilian, and Assunta is first-generation Italian-American; her family is from Picerno, Italy.

On June 1, 2005, they purchased an established bakery on Route 1 in Searsport, Maine, and moved from New Jersey to open the doors of Abbracci on July 19, 2005.

Abbracci translates as “embraces”, or “hugs” in Italian.

Company History
 
When Abbracci first opened it was primarily a bakery that offered lunch items such as pizza, calzones, salads, and sandwiches.
As the customer base grew, and their needs were assessed, Abbracci began offering dinner entrees in October of 2006.
